Member benefit: HAWKS Summer camps

Our friends at Hiking Adventures With Kids Lake Norman (HAWKS) are offering some great benefits for their summer day camps to Trailblazer members this July.

Members can get a FREE trial day for their child, to see what the program is all about. And if you like it, you can also get 20% OFF camp programs.

HAWKS camps are different. Instead of locking in one static location, they choose the best spot for each day based on weather, trail conditions, and what the environment is doing that week. This includes locations like Latta Nature Preserve, Lake Norman State Park, US National Whitewater Center, Fisher Farm/Abersham Park, Mountain Creek Park, Reedy Creek Nature Preserve and more — each offering something unique to discover.

This is not a short open house or abbreviated sample. Your child will participate in a complete HAWKs program day alongside their Explorers and trained naturalist Educators—hiking, exploring, learning about the natural world, playing outdoors, and following their curiosity wherever the trail leads.

• A full-day experience gives your child time to:
• Settle into the group and build confidence
• Connect with our Educators and other Explorers
• Experience real, screen-free outdoor adventure
• Explore local trails, wildlife, and ecosystems
• Practice independence, problem-solving, and outdoor skills
• Decide whether HAWKs feels like the right fit for them

It also gives you the opportunity to see what your child looks and sounds like after a real day with HAWKs.

HAWKs programs are led by trained, background-checked Educators in small groups, with no more than seven children per Educator and at least two Educators accompanying each group.

There is no cost and no obligation to enroll afterward. Trial spaces are limited and available only on selected camp dates based on existing enrollment and staffing capacity.

Enter code TARHEELTB100 when completing your checkout to access this free full camp day trial offer.

Already know this is right for your kiddo? Enter code TARHEELTB20 for 20% any of our camp offerings – our gift to you for your continuing support as a Tarheel Trailblazers member.

Give your child a day outside to explore, move, learn, and discover what they are capable of.
