Cedar Valley Bike Park is a bikes-only jump and flow park inside Fisher Farm Park in Davidson.

The main part of the park is a short one-way loop of about 2 miles, made for lapping. Sweet Leaf warms you up with a gap jump into a flowing double and a short rhythm section. Roaster Coaster comes next: three switchback berms, then more than ten doubles and one big gap jump on the way down.

Double Black Sabbath is the main jump line. It has three big doubles, a set of three progressive gap jumps, a large catch berm and a step-down to a double.

Into The Void finishes the loop with a small jump over a downed tree, a fast run and a wooden bridge, then a steep quarter-mile climb back to the start.

Nervous Breakdown, added in 2021, is a pro line with mandatory gaps and drops. It is for experienced jumpers only.

Is it right for you? Trailforks rates every trail here black diamond. Many of the bigger features have ride-arounds, but this isn't the place to learn to jump. If you're newer to mountain biking, start on the Fisher Farm trails next door and come back when you're ready.

These are some of the biggest jumps in the Charlotte area. Look before you leap, and ride within your limits.

Also in Cedar Valley and separate from the jump trails is Twisted Sister, a 1.5mi old school technical singletrack trail, often added by people riding Fisher Farm who want more distance and challenge.

Tarheel Trailblazers volunteers, led by local builder Evan St. Clair, spent more than two years building Cedar Valley. It opened in June 2019.

E-Bike Rules

Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on trails. Class 1 means bikes that only provide electric assistance when pedaling, don’t have a throttle and don't provide assistance over 20mph. Any bike with a throttle or that can provide electric assistance over 20mph is not allowed on trails because of the safety risk to other trail users, and the hard to repair trail damage they cause.

Seasonal Information

The park closes for at least 24 hours after rain. Please don't ride when it's wet: the jumps and berms are easily damaged and take a lot of time and effort to repair. Check the status at the top of this page before you go.

First Timer Tips

  • This isn't a beginner trail. If you're new to jumps, ride the Fisher Farm trails next door first.
  • Take a slow first lap. Roll what you can, use the ride-arounds and look at every landing before you send it.
  • Nervous Breakdown has mandatory gaps. You can't roll it.
  • Ride one way only, in trail order. Never ride up a jump line. Use Cedar Valley Access Road to climb back for another lap.
  • After the kiosk, keep right at the first fork for Cedar Valley. The left fork is Twisted Sister, a tight, technical Fisher Farm trail.
  • Don't stop in a landing or on the trail. Pull well off to the side to regroup or watch friends.
  • Bikes only. Walkers, hikers and runners aren't allowed on these trails.
  • The park closes for 24 hours after rain. Riding wet damages the jumps.
