Social Ride – Dupont Forest – Aug 8
The Tarheel Trailblazer Ladies are heading out of town for their next social ride, and this time we are inviting the gentlemen along too!
We’ll be heading up to the (hopefully) cooler mountains for a scenic and social ride around part of the beautiful Dupont State Forest.
If you’ve been wanting a chance to get a taste of riding in the NC mountains and back country, but didn’t want to go it alone, this is a great opportunity!
This will be a no-drop ride and everyone is welcome as long as they can pedal about 15 miles and are able to climb 1300 feet of elevation.
We’ll meet in the Lake Imaging parking lot around 9.00am with wheels rolling at 9:30am.
We will stop frequently to regroup and check out the waterfalls along the way!
Rough route is Lake Imaging – Jim Branch – Isaac Heath – Hilltop (waterfall) – Buck Forest – Conservation to Airstrip View – Corn Mill Shoals to Bridal Veil Falls – 3 Lakes.
Dress according to the weather, bring snacks and plenty of hydration.
