Success! Bobcat Fundraiser Finished!

This is a very special moment worth celebrating!

In just 37 days, this amazing community stepped up in a big way and closed out the Bobcat fundraiser!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed. Every donation, big or small, is an investment in the future of trails across the entire Charlotte area.

Our older Bobcats built much of the trail that we are fortunate enough to ride today. However, Bobcat has been on the leading edge of product innovation and this new machine has evolved to be more efficient, faster, require less maintenance, and will allow our volunteers to make an enormous impact on the trails for many years to come.

Trail sustainability has been a key focus for new trail builds and trail improvements throughout our 175+ mile trail network. In fact, we kicked off this fundraiser with a very generous $20,000 environmental preservation grant from Bobcat Company . We were extremely honored to be recognized with this opportunity, especially since it aligns closely with our organization’s ethos.

We are working on the final details of the purchase with Bobcat of Charlotte (RS Braswell) who have been taking great care of us, and we look forward to providing you more updates in the near future when we bring the Bobcat to the trail. We truly can’t wait to get this new machine to work. In fact, we have several big projects lined up so stay tuned for more details.

In the meantime, let’s use this time to celebrate a major accomplishment and milestone for Tarheel Trailblazers and the Charlotte area trail community!

Thanks to all of you from the bottom of our hearts!

PS: an incredibly thoughtful gesture was made to get us past the finish line. The final donation to close out the fundraiser was $2,000 which pushed us past the goal. This family expressed they would like there to be additional funds available for fuel, grease, and maintenance. 🥰
